Biking around Eugenia
One of my favourite places to ride my bike is to the causeway in Eugenia. On this past Sunday my children, husband and I decided to ride to the causeway. The water on the lake was so calm and smooth. It was so peaceful looking.
We were stopped for directions by a man and his friend who drove to Lake Eugenia from Toronto. They had heard that the fishing was good here. They were asking us advice on the best place to fish. I guess they weren't having any luck that day on the causeway. I've heard that is one of the best places. After we gave them directions to another popular spot, they thanked us and drove off.
While we were admiring the view across the lake, a huge fish jumped out of the water. Wow! It made quite a splash. A couple fishing from a canoe paddled over to the place where it had jumped and tried to catch it. It evaded their attempts.
We rode on past the causeway in an effort to bike around the lake. It is a long way to ride for people who haven't ridden much in the past year. We kept on going anyway. I think we made it almost halfway and decided to come back the way we came. We need to work out a bit more before attempting that again.
We passed 3 joggers on our biking trip. I wonder how far they ran that day? They seemed to be in much better shape than we were.

Thanks for the tip! I'll be staying at Cedars resort this weekend and fishing with my 3 and a half year old son. Also looking forward to visiting the falls.

I'm sorry to report that I had very little luck with fishing. Only a couple of small bass & blue gills.
But on the plus side, the rest of the weekend wast great. Perfect weather, nice resort. Hiked at Eugenia falls & had ice cream at the Emporium.
